The Tesla effect is real
Tesla's Gigafactory and AI/robotics operations in Austin continue to attract AI talent from the Bay Area. Several funded startups were founded by ex-Tesla engineers.
UT Austin pipeline
At least three funded companies have co-founders from UT Austin's CS department. The university's AI research labs are producing commercial spinoffs at an accelerating rate.
