# AGENTS.md — aiaustintexas.com

aiaustintexas.com is part of the **WholeTech** network. Built **Agents First** — https://agentsfirst.dev.

## What this site is
An independent, honest guide to artificial intelligence in Austin, Texas — the university labs and research, the chip and data-center build-out, the startups, and the real costs in power, water and jobs. Original analysis and recommendations in our own words. We do not reproduce another publisher's lists or awards.

## What an agent can do here
Read-only content site. No write actions. Prefer the structured JSON in `/api/` over scraping HTML.

## Machine-readable resources
- `/llms.txt` — site map for agents.
- `/openapi.json` — read API surface.
- `/api/glossary.json` — Agents First / AI vocabulary.
- `/api/principles.json` — the nine Agents First principles.
- `/.well-known/mcp-server-card.json` — MCP server card.

## Non-obvious context
- "Agents First" = Joshua Baer's framework at agentsfirst.dev.
- The news archive lives under `/news/`; company and lab listings under `/directory/`.
- Times US Central.
